Encouraging Truths Devotional Series (Day #1)
Encouraging Truths To Remember, by Bob Carson
This set of devotionals shares Biblical truths that should be an encouragement to you. Let these refresh you and remember them when this world tries to pull you down.
Jesus loves you as the Father loves Him (Jn 15:9)
A great foundation to understand God’s love for you is by trying to understand the Father’s love for Jesus.
Jesus spoke these things … Father … You loved Me before the world’s foundation. (Jn 17:1,24)
And there came a voice from heaven: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him! (Mt 3:17)
Take a minute right now to think about how much the Father loves Jesus and about how important Jesus is to Him.
Jesus is so important to the Father that the Father would have rescued Him from going to the crucifixion if Jesus asked (Mt 26:53). That means the Father would have sacrificed us all for His Son … and rightly so. The Father infinitely cares for, is concerned about, and is connected to His Son. He put everything into His hands (Jn 3:35), gave Him full authority (Mt 28:20), shows Him everything He’s doing (Jn 5:20), and dwelt with Him fully on earth (Col 1:19). The Father loves Jesus so much that they are bonded together as One:
The Father and I are one. (Jn 10:30)
Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. (Jn 14:11)
They are inseparable in every way. That’s how much the Father loves Jesus. With the Father’s love for Jesus in mind, take a look at this:
Jesus answered … As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. (Jn 14:23, 15:9)
May … the world … know You … have loved them (believers) as You have loved Me. (Jn 17:23)
I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them. (Jn 17:26)
You are as important and loved to Jesus as He is to the Father!! Try to grasp that truth. Stop reading now and ponder what Scripture is saying.
You are so loved by God that YOU too are joined with Him! Just as the Father and Jesus are one, you are joined together with them!
In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you (Jn 14:20)
“If you love Me, you will keep My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor … the Spirit of truth … He remains with you and will be in you. (Jn 14:15-17)
I am in them and You are in Me. (Jn 17:23)
I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them. (Jn 17:26)
God loves you enough to cleanse you, adopt you as His child, and be joined together with you forever. Hold on to these great truths of God’s love for you! The Father loves you as He loves Jesus!!!
I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them. (Jn 17:26)
Jesus answered … As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. (Jn 14:23, 15:9)
May … the world … know You … have loved them (believers) as You have loved Me. (Jn 17:23)
