The Only Thing that Worked for Us was Biblical Counseling!!!

 

Greetings, our names are Pat and Dennis. I (Pat) came to Steve in S.C. for help with our marriage. Dennis is 75 and I’m 72. We both had a couple previous marriages prior to meeting him. We were in a very desperate place relationship wise. I had written to our church begging them to set us up ASAP with a counselor. They directed us to Steve.  I can tell you wholeheartedly that God performed a supernatural work in our relationship via the Holy Spirit using Biblical Counseling provided by Steve. We were only married 3 years. And both of us desperately needed help. To say the least, Steve’s guidance using Scripture was truly amazing.

It’s been 2 years now since we started. We are still seeing him on a regular basis because life has glitches. We are still learning that living according to what God teaches really is the best way. We have sayings like “God, please help me, please change me”, as well as the Pyramid/Triangle of Priorities in Life” (God 1st, Marriage 2nd, Church 3rd, etc. – see below). We have several diagrams that reminds us that God is in charge – so why not follow Him as He says to do? Our previous way before Biblical Counseling was disastrous! We are learning every time we meet with Steve that Scripture, prayer, and spiritual principles are the way to go, as well as seeking to address the root cause (and not just the fruit) of our issues . Steve guides us towards spiritual growth and healing; whether spiritual and/or emotional. We truly believe Steve was sent by God and was used by Him to save our marriage. If this could happen with people our age and after multiple marriages, I believe 100% that the Lord could use Steve to help you also.

There’s another saying, “I can’t, God can, why not let Him.” Don’t give up on what you saw in your spouse when you first met, or on what attracted you to each other. Biblical Counseling, trust us (Pat and Dennis), is the only avenue that works and is still working. It is a gift of God and it’s like the Energizer Bunny – it keeps on going – with eternal benefits. Praise GOD!!!
